Growing up.

I've been slapped in the face yesterday with the Hong Kong thing and I spent most my night thinking about what I réally wanna do with my life. And what I really wanna do, is move to Tokyo. So I made a list of things I'd need to do to get there.

Biggest issue is money (isn't it always), so I'm going to look for temp jobs for no longer than 2 years ( Read more... )

That's a good action plan you've got there. And having it broken up in smaller parts makes it feasible, which is more likely to get you where you want to be: Tokyo! :)

Hmm, I've already sent an email to the CLT to find out about their Japanese course, and I've applied for a job in Heverlee.

I was hoping to live at home, but the course at Syntra just doesn't seem as thurough as this one, though I'll have to take a closer look at that when I get home.

Now all I have to do, is pull it through. I'm usually a quitter, so here's hoping... *rolls eyes*

Good plan, wrong order.

First, my dad knew of people who worked in Tokio and housing prices are even shittier than here. Salaries are rather high, but that's because housing is such a huge post in the spendings. So if you want to find anything that doesn't smell of mold and crumbles, you'll need to be able to get a job, because any savings you'd make here would melt as easily as fuck there.

What I'd do and sounds the most sensible to me is to first get a job here and save as much as you can, while indeed, making sure you study the language. no one is going to hire someone who can't understand what is going on on the workfloor, if that was the case, they'd have wayyy less problems with uneployement here in wallonie.

Well, I have a friend in Tokyo and she has already promised to house me for a while. I just hope she'll keep her word and actually do so.
I'd pay her and everything, but you never know.

Yeah, she's the one that taught me my first words in Japanese and even gave me my own set of Hashi (eating sticks).

She's also the one that inspired me to just stop dreaming and get my ass out there. Before I met her, I just never considered it a possibility.
