I really should not be updating and rather, writing my stupid peice for my psych project...but doing work when its supposed to be done is SO overrated! ;) Just kidding....I'll write it after I update
( Read more... )
I was going to start off saying things like I'm sure that Andrew's the right person to be with, I'm sure writing is what I want to do with my life, etc...
But the truth is that people die, and sometimes life doesn't turn out like you plan. I think ultimately, I'm not sure of anything except that I will find the inner strength to get through whatever happens to me. I guess you call that faith, huh? ;)
Songs don't tend to connect to memories as much for me... However, "Blue Christmas" will always remind me of you. ;) And "Can't get enough of your love" by Barry White reminds me of Katie because I have a video clip of her dancing around the house to it in a winnie-the-pooh costume (I'll show you next time you're here). ;)
:) I like your answer. Alia (the new housemate) was watching Oprah's 20th Anniversary Box Set and on one episode, she threw that question out. I can't remember what Oprah's response was, but it something along the lines of "The grass isn't always greener on the other side." and "Don't be afraid to admit when you are wrong."
As you said, people and things in life change/don't turn out the way you expected it to be.
And :P about the blue christmas....Haha, years after, we STILL have memories from that song.
This took some thinking because, as Shayla pointed out, no matter how sure or even prepared you are for something, things are liable to change in an instant. There are a few things in life however, that I know I can depend on
( ... )
my mom i hate asking ppl for favors, i dont like borrowing things from others, i never depend on others, and im generally a pretty solitary person when it comes to feelings...except around her. and im not saying that any of these are good things, but i think she really is the only person that'll be there and im completely sure of that.
i agree with sonali.... my mom too has been like a rock...she can be pissed at me, but still kiss me every mornig before she leaves for work. she has never left me hanging, offered bad advice, or stopped looking out for me.
but also, i would like to be sure about MYSELF. know myself and believe in my self enough to accomplish my goals and what i want out of life.
Its true; at the end of the day, if you aren't strong and sure of yourself as an individual, it doesn't matter who else is behind you.
I believe you are pretty sure of yourself, more so than you were 7 years ago, when we met. And as time passes, you only get more sure and believe in yourself. I'm proud of the woman you've become. :)
