we walk by faith and not by sight
It has been a LONG time since I've posted up here. Can't really say why as I don't even know the reason myself. I have been busy with school, slightly. These next few days are going to be hell on Earth as I have two finals, back to back, both of which are extremely heavy. Ugh, how I hate April and final exams. I'm praying that everything goes smoothly; I can't afford to mess up this time. And I've been doing so well so far, I don't want to do anything to jeopardize that.
What else? Oh, summer plans! I'm going to Kingston to visit Keith/see my cousins the weekend of May 4th, which I am SO excited about. It will be the first time I've traveled on my own to see him, so it should be good times. :) A few days later (on May 10th), I'll be flying out to England/Prague for a week. My mom's first cousin (the last in that generation) is getting married, so my Dad, Mom and I are going for it. We're going to Prague for a few days after because my mom wants to go to the Infant Jesus of Prague church, that is known to be a very spiritual place. I make a big deal about going because I really don't want to, but I know how much it means to her, so I've just let it go. The next wedding on that side of the family is...*cue scary music*...MINE! Or, at least, someone in my generation. Now THAT is freaky.
The trip should be interesting; its been 17 years since the three of us traveled together (since my brother's birth, essentially) and it been a good 4-5 years since we've taken a trip together. When my mom's other first cousin (the older sister of the one who is currently getting married) got married, which was about 5 years ago, a bunch of cousins/family friends my age got to reconnect with each other, which was amazing. I cannot wait to see them again!
Once I get back, I'm hoping to be able to find a job (anyone know anyone who is hiring, I'm avail!) anywhere random to just get some money flowing. I'll be volunteering downtown at either Princess Margaret (fingers crossed) or Toronto General Hospitals, so that will keep me busy. I'm taking second semester summer school, so I'll be back in Hamilton from late June to early August...I'm actually not minding that as I kinda of like summer school, keeps my mind active and what not.
And then, AFTER THAT, is my birrrrrrthday! Haha, well I'm actually not that excited about it (more excited about the birthday party plans Sonali, Lori-Anne and I have devised), but I am excited about the few days/weeks to follow my birthday. I'm going to NYC with my sisters, Geetha and Carly, and hopefully Ricky (and anyone else who would like to join!). Lore will be in Jersey sometime this summer, so hopefully we can all coordinate and head over around the same time! I'm SO psyched about that trip! I GET TO FINALLY SEE RENT ON BROADWAY! Also, Ella (my goddaughter) and Jayden (my other baby cousin) are both turning one, weeks after my birthday! I can't believe a year (almost) has already passed...I missed so much of Jayden's first year. Lol, I miss Ella, Cameron and Joshua SO MUCH! I'm suffering from Grimsby-withdrawal! :(
Anyways, that's about all the updates in my life at the moment. Time to get back to the books...stupid exams! Ahhh, my room is SO warm, its glorious. Gotta love "heat dishes"!
