Snow!

Jul 09, 2004 12:40

I've been offered a 3 day trip to the snow, with 2 nights accom (staying right on the slopes), 1 dinner, 2 brekkies, transport to and from Sydney, 3 days lift passes, and 3 2hour lessons, for $680.

Is this a good deal? How much does it normally cost you guys for a week? Are y'all going down this year?

Sounds a little steep, does it include equipment hire?

Maybe I'm just spoilt by Dave's lodge prices in previous years and self-driving.

Yeah I'd agree... skiing for me is generally a very expensive way to test the public hospital system... but aside from that - it's more than $200 a day. That's steep.

I spent nearly a grand last time I went, but that was about 6 or 7 nights, ski gear, lots of beer and food etc.....

Staying on snow in accom is quite expensive though, so it's prolly not so bad. And 2 hour lessons (assuming they're private) would probably set you back close to $100 each.
