1. Sakura = sad theme is quite an alien concept to me. Because Sakura blooms in the season where new term starts in Japan, in my perception somehow, Sakura reminds me of positive feeling and moving on. Oh NEWS.. (TT)
I think sakura is considered a sad thing because school ends in March and they die so fast... but in the USA they're seen as a happy thing (the coming of spring) so it's weird. I also like to see it as a "moving on" thing!
It's amazing how they can be both so happy and so bittersweet at the same time...
