Sorry about your mom. Losing loved ones is too hard. I don't know what I would do if I lost my mom. If that had happened to me in high school, I think I would have failed all my classes.
I lost my grandmother to cancer when I was in 3rd grade. That was the first time I tasted grief, and the death changed me, too.
Medications are often not enough for cancer. Chemotherapy often doesn't help either. It can even make people's health worse. I wish we could have used acupuncture and herbs for your mom and my grandmother back then. They could help reduce pain and prolong life.
Though I don't have a religion, I believe in God who has helped me in many ways.

I find people's life stories interesting, especially since everyone's life story is different. I don't think I could live or function without God, because God helps and guides us.
