Matt can't decide which is sillier: how long it took to schedule this date with Nita, or how goofy he feels when he spots her in the bar.

(For the curious: his own hair cannot be helped, and is in its usual state of muss. He's got his go-to prep combo of jeans, a button-down, and a turquoise tie.

The turquoise is not exaaactly go-to. It's more like date-to.)

She catches sight of him and beams, waving.

"Hey yourself!"

Matt grins and slips past a waitrat with a tray, then pulls up abruptly when he gets near her.

"--Do we kiss now?" he asks.

"Have we upgraded from kissing in dreams? Am I being forward?"

There hasn't really been a good time to ask, given that they've spent so much time on separate planes of existence. Making annoying smacky noises over the phone is not at all on the same level.
