Yeah its ridiculous. Taryn has recommended the Oyster card- apparently bus trips are still 80p when you use prepay on that.

That's what their master plan seems to be, get us all to fork out on prepaid stuff but when you don't work and don't use the system that often thats steep as well. I'll better get used to more walking I guess ;)

Here I think to Get into the City On the Metro/subway/tube? we think it's like 2-3-4-dollars. one way.

Washington DC is...pricey.
