Halloween!

I. HATE. THIS. I'm leaving for work now, knowing I will have NOTHING to do all day. No kidding. No internet access either. FUN :/ (maybe I will kill someone in frustration? *snigger*)

BUT: Then the weekend will come. GOOD. Cause it's the Halloween one! Yeah! Lot's of Halloweeny things to buy and do :) Hurray!

I had this situation for almost 2 years, 2 jobs ago. My company got taken over so I knew I would be being made redundant eventually. They had 3 of us doing what used to be just my job, and because the other 2 were from the taking over company my say was worth nothing at all... So for almost 2 years most of my day would be spent going for fag breaks, surfing the net, drinking coffee... It got to be so incredibly tedious...

Looking back it was nice to get paid a lot of money to be doing nothing but stilll ... I know exactly what you mean...

Yeah, the aspect of getting paid for doing nothing is quite funny, but they clamped down on internet access recently and so no surfing the net, no LJ, no nothing to relieve the boredom - how many times can I look at the BBC website (which is the only one I can get at...) Sigh!

Think of it this way: it is difficult to get a job, esp a job where you can look the way you want. I think you are quite lucky! Maybe things will get busy soon. Or maybe find something to do there. I can't understand it though, why do they have you working there for a reason, how come there is nothing to do?

I keep on asking myself the same question, believe me!! They just need someone to file things as and when they create them, and if there is nothing, well, then there is nothing for me to do, end of story. I know it's insane that they pay me for doing bugger all, but it's time to move on soon! It's so boring anyway. Not a very glamorous job at all! I went for it because, yes, they didn't mind my piercings and it is local so no rush hour hassle for me. But I've had enough....
