I wanted to use my rebate to buy a computer but I can't afford it because I need meds, tests, books, passport, and food. So. No new nothing--but at least I am not more vulnerable to lose like the above people.

You should wait on the computer anyway to see where you end up teaching and if they give you a computer...but yeah, our rebate is getting sucked up too.

I heard about it originally from Matt, who started out saying it was a great joke, so I never thought it was real. I kinda wish I had though....but it really is believable.
