Getting away is something he's felt like he's had to do a lot of lately. While he was wary of leaving Alma alone with two Noah back in the city, he still had a golem to use if need be. He couldn't keep protecting him forever, anyway.

Kanda let his feet carry him, not really paying attention to where he was going, exactly. The next thing he knew when he actually paid attention was...well, Lavi, off on his own. It was a bit of an odd sight to see, since he was used to seeing the redhead with at least one other person. Being here for an extended amount of time did that to you, he guessed.

There are enough Exorcists in the building to protect him at least when Kanda decides that he needs to go off on his own. But there was that point in his life that Alma would need to defend himself, you need to start teaching him, man.

Kanda sees him one moment and the next Lavi slid down out of sight in the trolley car. Is he injured? Sleeping? Just hiding like he wants to? He should never hide here in the trolley car, everyone seems to find him here. It's honestly a bit ridiculous.

Hey, hey, he knows that! He spars with Alma, sometimes.

Kanda stopped, simply raising an eyebrow at the disappearing redhead. He waits for a moment, just to see if Lavi will pop back up like a rabbit, and when he doesn't he starts to walk over. And hey, at least Kanda isn't overly intrusive!

You need to do more than sometimes, after all with the way this place works either one of you could be gone the next day without an explanation. Though it might be the best idea to let Lavi help sometimes since he's been trained to fight without his Innocence. He knows the limits of the human body and the like.

Nope, he's still slunk down as if he doesn't even care if someone he calls a friend is nearby. Not that he even knows Kanda is nearby, he just heard footsteps and figured it was better to be safe than sorry. So he'll stay down and hope the footsteps that are getting closer will come to a stop and turn away.

Alma's really the only one that's been able to beat him up good. Back then neither of them had Innocence, but hey, he plans to :| And...he'll get to where he'll let Alma stay with the other Exorcists eventually. It's a process with Kanda.

Kanda walks over to the trolley and leans toward it a little, looking to make sure he wasn't seeing things. Because, y'know, it wouldn't be the first time there were ghosts around.

"Lavi?"

Everything is a process with Kanda, but at least his friends haven't given up on him yet. They just let him work it all out.

Lavi tilts his head back at the familiar voice, spying Kanda's curious face just outside the window. At first his instinct is to scramble for a place to hide, which is useless considering Kanda's already found him, seen him. The second is to ignore him but that's also useless seeing as he looked at the swordsman. So he just does what he normally does. Outside of jumping on and hugging him, anyway.

"...What?"

A process made longer and more drawn out with Rhode's help.

"What are you doing out here?" Kanda was curious, to say the least, and normally he wouldn't even care at all. With the lack of things to do around Nesreca, though, he can't help but be a little curious about some things. He had a vague guess that something happened with Rhode, but that was something he was going to keep to himself.

Lavi looks back down at his knees, pretending to be very interested with the fabric there, the pieces that are fraying from old age. He's still wearing the clothes he wanders across the bridge in. "No reason, just wanted to be away from everything."

He almost said 'everyone' instead but he changed it without the slightest hitch, in truth... He was still wondering what else everyone was hiding from him.

Kanda let out a breath, standing up straight again. He knew how it felt, just wanting to get away. He's felt the need to a lot, lately. All the rain lately helped to do that in its own special way, he thought.

"As long as you don't get yourself sick out here, I can't blame you for wanting to do that."

The rain kept everyone indoors, it made it easier for those that wanted to be alone to slip away and have that time to themselves. It had certainly helped Lavi in his wanderings the past few days.

"I've been staying dry longer than I have wet." Lavi lifts his head back again and looks at the clouds past Kanda, "Looks like rain again soon, too."

Kanda glanced up behind him at the clouds as thunder rolled in the distance. Kanda, himself, was wet from the earlier rain, but didn't even seem to mind it.

"Good. Stay that way, rabbit." He glanced back into the trolley. "Hardly anything we can do if someone gets sick."

"Oh, I've already been sick once." Though that was from food not being good anymore but he had been starving at the time. "It'll be good for Alma's garden at least if they've got it started."

"...Oh right." Oops, Kanda had almost forgotten. It felt like there were a lot of things going on, all of a sudden, that he hadn't even thought about crossing the river. He should probably do that, either now or really soon.

"You forgot to get him seeds, didn't you?" Of course Kanda'd forget something like that. It's not something that he normally thought about, so he's sure that the little mite won't blame him for it. Just thank him and grin like nothing was wrong, a lot like Lavi usually did in a lot of ways.

"Shut up, I'll get them." Hmph. Yeah, Kanda would probably make a stop at a nursery in Credinta on his way back to the apartments. Really, the last thing that he wanted to do was disappoint Alma.

"You're lucky he's a kid and forgives so easily." Hint, hint. Though really since Kanda didn't know what Lavi and Rhode talked about he wouldn't get the hint. Not unless he went back and looked at it later.
