5th Speculation: Information sought

Feb 24, 2012 20:59

So, from what I understand, Lavi and Sasuke are likely the best sources, but if anyone has any info, that would be helpful. I know there are places here rumored to be haunted, and then thare are places that are haunted. Does anyone know why? It's most likely related to why this place is the way it is anyways, but...I was wondering about more ( Read more... )

Does it matter what happened here?

It might.

How so?

We might be able to find a way to dispel some of the fear and misunderstanding in Credinta...we might find a way to predict how Libitina came here, we might just find a way to protect ourselves better...

[Shrug.]

We might find nothing, ultimately...but learning the history and separating fact from fiction, as well as trying to explore the metaphysical here, shouldn't be a bad thing, as long as it's done carefully.

"Are" haunted? How could anyone know that?

[Honest question. From a scientific perspective, he doesn't buy the "human intuition" explanation.]

I can tell. I can sense the presences, versus something just being really creepy.

Ah-

[He's about to ask, "seriously?!", but then bites his lip. Right, she's definitely telling the truth. Raven's...]

Haven't you gone to those places yet? If you'd be able to tell for sure, then...

I'm not about to go poking a potential hornet's nest alone, thanks... Not to mention this isn't the easiest place to live in, and I need to eat, and sleep, and try to stay clean, like everyone else here, thanks.

[Sarcasm. It's what's for dinner.]

You're in a city that fell to misfortune. There doesn't need to be much of a reason why.

I respectfully disagree. Figuring out what that misfortune was might be able to help us figure out more with our current situation. Such as why those in Credinta hate us and fear this place, or more about Libitina. Unless you have a specific reason you think it wouldn't?

It was genocide. [So deadpan.]

[Deadpan doesn't bother her, she's pretty deadpan herself.]

Right, and therefore there is NO value in learning anything else. Sure.

[Have some deadpan back.]

Do you actually care then, whether I explore or not?

Like Sasuke said, it was a genocide. But aside from that we're not really sure what happened to make things haunted here. The ones that become haunted are the fault of Libitina and/or her master. But why they're trapped here themselves or other places are haunted without their meddling is unknown.

We've been trying to get information but most of it's been destroyed or isn't available to us.

Well, I'm going to try and see what I can find out then, even without the normal information. Knowing why places are haunted, with or without Libitina's influence, might give us useful clues on their abilities.

[After all, she has gifts that might help, and be able to pick up things others can't. It's worth trying.]

Just don't forget to give one of us a call if you need help, yeah?

So far, it seems like you, Okumura-san, Naruto, or Doc are the only ones who care.

I try to not be stupid about things though, so yeah.
