The 4th Module of my Masters started yesterday.
Seriously when I came out from the tutorial, I tot I see stars circling round my head.
Lesson 1: Hyperbolic Geometry.

And my lecturer sums up the topic in an email he just send out to us:

Some comments on lesson 1. Locally we live in the Euclidean plane. Globally we do not. Actually we live on the ( Read more... )

Actually, whatever your lecturer had said is really interesting!

Lol. And i actually see where he is coming from when he explains his points albeit in an excruciating manner.

As a matter of fact, he is putting across facts like how some of the philosophers did.

OMG. I think you have an interesting module ahead of you! Please share some of the stuff you will be learning with me! I'm interested to know more about them.

Your lecturer is indeed interesting, the way he expresses himself.

I would definitely love to hear more from him!

math and geometry and philosophy are kindred spirits. It is through math and geometry that the philosophers look for the true elements of existence and the meaning of life. ie: 1+1 = 2, therefor, 1+1 should ALWAYS be 2 coz it is the logical thing, and thus, is the proper thing ... and thus is the proscribed thing ... LOLLLLLL

aristotle many many times discussed many euclidean elements in his metaphysics ... gegegege

that is what ur lecturer so cutely say lo tongue in cheek :

"The intention here is not to make you proficient in one non-euclidean geometry. But at least when asked you can talk intelligently about it. HHAHHAHAHAHAHHAAAA

gosh ur lecturer is really funny .. lollll
