Life REWIND!
Alright I finally got off my lazy ass to post an LJ entry in oh..so...many...months.
So without further ado,
Rewind to finals week:
Basically after weeks of fretting about my grad course (Chem 201) where I did horribly on the first midterm (right at the mean) and terribly, inconceivably! rotten on the second miterm (10 pts *below* the mean!!) I finally managed to pull an A- overall in the class (whoohoo!!) by allocating the whole entire 3 days weekend just cramming anything and everything that has to do with chem in my head. This consisted of reading all the required sections in 3 books + skimming through all the lit. articles (>15!) + rereading my notes twice and totally ignoring studying for Math 112A final which was 4 hours after the 201 final. Needless to say I didn't do so well on the 112A final due to studying only 3.5 hours in advanced (the half hour was for eating lunch and forcing my mind off of 201 final). Still got better than half of the class...muahaha. Gosh how did people do it???
As for the other finals, one was extremely (inconceivably!) easy..I could've had my eyes closed and done it! haha...maybe..but it was such an easy test that I finished 2-hour test in 30 mins! Love love cryptology and Margulies. As for the other final, it was harder than I'd expected but doable and I ended up getting an A so I'm not complaining!
Fast forward to winter break + Christmas:
Well winter break has been great. Christmas was nice. People need to stop giving clothes if their eyes are whacked and they don't ask the receiver for advice..haha. Still it's the thought that counts and more_cowbells where's the love yo???
In addition to sleeping in and going out shopping, I'd managed to read something that is not a textbook or lit. article!!! Man I'd missed how pleasurable reading a good *fiction* book was! It's like fresh morning air (which I'd missed also..haha) or a cool breeze at dusk or a chocolate-covered strawberry!
