AH I LOVE KIDA'S CHARACTER DESIGN. Wanna draw him so badly ;___; Is there any way to pair up Izaya and Kida that isn't creepy and/or pedo? Because it would make loving the both of them so much easier if I could just...love them...together. But Kida/Mikado is too cute to break up. But but...GODDAMN. Well, they do have quite a history together XD But all that stuff happened when Kida was in junior high school, so you won't escape the pedo-ness, LOL.

I congratulate you on not shitting yourself over Shizuo/Izaya like the rest of the fandom. Variety is the spice of life! :Db

If you read the novel spoilers, Kida and Izaya's relationship is actually kinda creepy and manipulative...which really shouldn't be too surprising, given Izaya's nature.

I HAVE READ THEM. Or part of them. Link me to whatever you're reading, though! Although, I can't in good conscience ship a guy who's older than me with a boy the age of my students. Then again, I can't actually imagine any of my students as gang leaders lol.

Granted, I haven't actually personally read a lot of the spoilers and get a lot of it via hearsay from /a/, but their Durarara!! threads are actually decent (zomg), so I trust most of what I see.

Also, Izaya is barely older than you, and Kida is at least in high school, not middle school. That's...something?

Kida JUST entered high school, which means he is all of 1 month older than my 3rd-year students. And Izaya is at least 2 months older than me, so BIGGER AGE DIFFERENCE THAN ME AND MY KIDS.

And yeah, that's what I've been reading too. Thank goodness for her! Link me to these 4ch threads sometime!

I'm going through the same state of denial that I went through when I was trying to convince myself I didn't actually like 6918. And hahaHA look what happened with that one. Probably in a month I will succumb and will draw Izaya/Kida, IDEK @_@;

Isn't the creepy and pedo kind of the point??? I am just saying, Izaya is a creepy motherfucker, it is inevitable.

Also, I am pretty sure that having S/S as one of Baby's Very First Pairings was uh, formative in this respect. >.>

(But yeah, I admit to drinking the Izaya/Shizuo kool aid. This annoys me, because I almost NEVER subscribe to the "if they want each other dead they must end up in bed" school of shipping but uh

it's kinda hot okay)

Yeah, S/S probably screwed me up subconsciously, but I totally liked fluffy pairings after that pretty much all the way up until Reborn and 6918. Repression?? Should I just give in to this extremely wrong pairing? =(

I...am not sold on Shizuo as a character. I definitely see the appeal of Shizaya, since they remind me of 6918, but I liked 6918 in spite of Hibari and the same thing might need to happen with Shizaya.

Yeah, I have (mostly) avoided the novel spoilers, but my impression is that there is more backstory to be had on Shizuo and Izaya both, so I tentatively support that ship until I find out more~ (If nothing else, it is kind of hot what can I say)

But yeah, I tend to gravitate toward either super messed-up relationships or super fluffy relationships. WE NEED NO MIDDLE GROUND HERE.

I...am not sold on Shizuo as a character.
Me neither, until I finished watching episode 7 a few minutes ago. Shizuo's a massive woobie (with anger management issues), and him together with Celty is super-duper-adorable. :3

Celty is doubly adorable. Oh god, I can't stop smiling at this show's characters. :3
