Nivenus at the Desk XIII: Dollhouse and Mass Effect: Ascension

I return at last. Ending school and getting into my summer work schedule took a little time away from this, but fear not, I have no abandoned ye! Not that any of you were actually afraid ; ).

Today I am reviewing two fairly contemporary products - Joss Whedon’s new show Dollhouse and the novel Mass Effect: Ascension by game writer Drew Karpyshyn.

I liked Mass Effect: Ascension. Gillian frustrated me at a few points, but for good in-story reasons rather than the writer making her inept. And I love worldbuilding, elaborating on alien societies and psyches, so that was good.
