Hello again! It has been quite awhile.

Oh man, that last season of Battlestar Galactica was such a shame. I agree with you that it became increasingly clear that they didn't have a plan, and just kind of made shit up as they went along - which becomes painfully evident with the mess that was the series finale (especially all the stuff about Starbuck ( ... )

I was going to keep my review free of Season 4 spoilers, but since you brought up the ending, I'll address some of your points here.

Yes, the ending, in my opinion, is dreadful. Abominable. It doesn't ruin the rest of the show for me, however, and I think it actually shows that they did eventually have an end in mind - just not as quickly as would have been wise.

I don't agree that the cylons got less interesting as they became more complex, human characters psychologically. I will say, however, that the continuing narrow-ing of physical differences between human and cylon only served to water down what had appeared to be a central message of BSG (only for the finale to cancel that out) - treating others who are different ain't such a great idea. But by making the cylons so much like humans, to the point that the viewer couldn't really tell what actually made them different, was a bad idea.

And I have to say I was genuinely surprised and angry to see how luddite the ending to BSG was. I am sick and tired, as you are, of anti- ( ... )
