So behind in posting...two weeks behind!

Two Saturday's ago we had the St Patrick's Day parade in our area. Took a few pics. Fell in love with the Irish Wolfhounds. They are a really cool dog breed. My feet froze standing out in the cold for a couple of hours...I wore the wrong boots...silly me....but they warmed up once back inside. Fun times.

On Saturday went to the Yorkville Ice Fest 18. (So many great free things to do in this town!) Lots of amazing ice sculptures to check out. The theme was maybe Knighthood or possibly Royalty...idk. Today the Rock Store was having it's open house anniversary in celebration of 1 year at their new location on Harbord St. Everything was 20% off. So Lady__Croft and I headed over to check it out. Didn't get much but I did get an inexpensive ammonite shell and a tiny crystal from Nazca Desert in Peru.

This evening was spent at the Toronto Symphony Orchestra listing to the music of Holst - The Planets. Sat in our usual seat/box, relaxed and enjoyed.

The program started with Stravinsky: Funeral Song, then John Estacio: Trumpet Concerto followed by the intermission and finally ended with Holst: The Planets

A great science fiction and fantasy writer Ursula K Le Guin has sadly passed away. Her books were always entertaining and will forever be on my bookshelf!

Found time to go see the Gullermo del Torro's movie THE SHAPE OF WATER. Lovely unconventional romantic film. I wasn't a huge fan of the ending though. You'll have to see it then we can discuss. Overall though I'd recommend it just for it's beauty and grace.
