Some thoughts on Buran

In retrospect, playing Buran was a more fantasy fulfilling endeavor than I ever realized while playing him. Though he was more often than not disliked, the unwavering pillar of support and love that Levanter provided made him think fuck all of how the rest of the world felt about him. it's funny how you identify with Buran but I'm pretty sure I don't identify with Levanter at all.

Yeah, though you seemed like you identified a lot with Harry Potter Casaval. I think for me, Calliope was fun to play, but she's ultimately less personal than Buran for me.

Yeah, Buran is pretty damn weird. XD But I think he proves the point of how a good story doesn't have to mimic real life in order to resonate in real life. What you said about his personality is right on, and it's just as effective as a character in a non-fantastical story would be.

Personally, I think the fantasy-fulfilling aspect of roleplaying is more fun when you can explore these kinds of fantasies, rather than only the "I wish I could do magic" kinds of fantasies.
