It might also be a good idea to isolate him with his own food and water -- measure the amount of food you give him, and then measure what's left later to find out how much he's eaten. Knowing whether or not he's got a normal appetite can be VERY useful info to the vet, and it'd probably be hard to tell how much he's eaten if he's sharing with Charlie. Also, keeping him confined to one room will make it easier to play find-the-vomit if he doesn't manage to make it to the litter box next time.
