Most of the boxes (not including any containing books) have been unpacked, the phone was set up on Monday, I got the caller-ID issue handled today (I'd ordered it, but somehow there was an oddity with my install order that though it was completed on Monday it was in their system as incomplete...); I set up my computer and DSL yesterday, got the TV ( Read more... )

As far as I'm concerned, the G3 can stand on its own...

and for Mac/work stuff, I'm going to be looking out for a late PPC laptop; anything that can run OSX reasonably is eligible. The G3 is going to be pretty much a games box... it'll run all the Bungie I want it to, and should be able to make a decent stab at some other stuff... and Drop-Bear is really a Wintendo.

In case anyone thinks I'm being stuck with a lemon, it's a B&W G3, not a beige. Yosemites were hot stuff, way back when. :)
