Did a bit of baking last week, all easy stuff like
Also, there were a whole lot of pomegranates imported last week! I LOVE pomegranates: the juice, the seeds, cooked in jam, made into syrup or salad vinaigrette
Here is my favourite way of dealing with fresh pomegranate: chuck seeds, crushed ice, teensy sprig of mint(if you have it), any citrus liqueur (I used japanese yuzu wine) and some sparkling water into a glass. Poke the seeds with a spoon to get some juices out and stir. :)
Some textures around my house.
OH AND. Apparently a lemon starts off life like this>>>
It's so fascinating to me as I was born and raised in a city where plants came in pots or crept about in the shadowy joints of buildings. And you know, I thought lemons kept their lemony shape throughout the growing process.
