lol! Sounds about as exciting as mine! I've never heard of having a week off at this time until recently, is that something new for you or a long tradition?

It is an Upstate New York thing I think. (Except for Buffalo-for some reason they don't do it.)
I think it is because most schools in NYS get shorter Christmas breaks (usually Dec24-Jan1)so they give us for extra days this week. (I don't think NYC area school get it because they get a lot of the Jewish Holidays in the fall off.) We also only get 3 days at Easter (unless it falls on our Spring Break around April 15th.) It is also probably why NYS goes until the end of June before getting out for summer.

It has been going on for as long as I can remember. But we usually don't do anything for Feb break because before the girls had musical rehearsals during it and now #3 has hockey all week.
