after my last post, i took a lovely long bath and then had a lovely short nap, and woke up feeling much improved. i decided to make that lush run, as i used my very last bath thingy (elixir melt) today.
in no particular order:
the samples look to actually be substantial enough to do one full treatment (and possibly more than one) on my hair, so that's a plus. and i didn't even have to ask for that this time -- the nice saleschickie did it of her own accord. huzzah!
just tried the volcano foot mask, and am quite pleased. it smells AWESOME, although the cinnamon oil in it might be a bit strong if you have sensitive skin -- my feet were tingling and warm for about 10-20 minutes after washing it off. i might have to invest in another tub of
pied de pepper (which also smells awesome) to follow up the mask treatments. i bought a tub of it when i was in scotland, so 4 years ago now, that i never used up. it took a looooong time to start looking "off," though; the saleschickie in the glasgow store had suggested that it had a shelf life of maybe six months to a year, and it lasted considerably longer than that.
i will be very interested to see how the various hair stuff does for me. i was pretty disappointed in the coolaulin conditioner -- it smells fantastic but does nothing for my hair. it even seems to dry it out a little. i'll probably reserve it for special occasions when i want my hair to smell extra-yummy. admittedly, i should probably try it again now that i've trimmed my hair (the ends were horrible, making the rest frizz up), but i'm not expecting a great improvement.
since mom has lots of trouble with really dry skin during the colder months, i cut her off a chunk of buffy to try. i'll check in tomorrow -- when i gave it to her she was getting ready to head to the shower and said she'd try it out. i'm pretty anxious to try it myself, so maybe tomorrow.
i think tomorrow's gonna be a luxury shower and hair-washing, yes. might as well do something nice for myself since i'll be working on freelance most of the day.
