The funniest scene in a movie all year.....

....was Nick Cage running down a hill in a bear costume, to punch some earth-goddess in the mouth in Wicker Man. No, it wasn't *supposed* to be funny, but we both erupted into fits of laughter. (I guess we're just sick that way.) (We also laughed harder at that than any scene from 'Little Miss Sunshine

That reminds me of the time my sister and I were watching Escape from New York. Practically everyone that ran into Kurt Russell's character said, "I thought you were dead!" It got so I could even predict a few spots when it would happen.

The original Wicker Man is excellent, as you may know.

I think I did see the original at a friends house sometime in the 90s, but couldn't understand why it was a cult classic then either. Is that where the Burning Man event sprang from?

You will DROOL over the scenery, both interiors and exteriors. I often found myself blotting out the atrocious dialogue and studying the scenery instead :)

Maybe I'll watch it in Spanish, if that's an option. My daughter can practice her Spanish and it might actually be even more amusing for me that way :D
