Title: Butterfly Kiss
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Nisaki
Disclaimer: Not mine!
Comments: This is something I did for a writing challenge on IJ. One sentence of story for each of 50 different themes. I...don't really know what to do with these, so feel free to use them for prompts or something?
#01 - Slow
Moving with almost excruciating languor, Niya followed the line of Sakito's spine with his mouth, a kiss for all twenty-two vertebrae.
#02 - Steady
The ear resting on Niya's chest picked up a nearly imperceptible change in his steady heartbeat, a sign that he might wake soon enough to join the guitarist for what was left of the morning.
#03 - Breathe
"Breathe, Saki," Niya prodded gently, wondering in guilt if he shouldn't have announced his affections for the guitarist quite so bluntly.
#04 - Relax
Spending the night at a spa hotel with Niya would surely be relaxing, but Sakito wasn't entirely comfortable with or ready for that kind of intimacy; c'est la vie, it had to happen someday.
#05 - Friends
If friends-turned-lovers was a recipe for disaster as is sometimes said, then Niya was undoubtedly damned the morning he woke with Sakito's tousled head on his shoulder.
#06 - Candle
The lone candle finally flickered and died, leaving Niya and Sakito at the mercy of the power outage though not without an alternate plan of entertainment.
#07 - Light
Sakito's little secret smile was sunshine and sakura and a good cup of coffee all at once for Niya the morning he woke up with the guitarist at his side.
#08 - Stars
For Niya, even the glory of the milky way beyond the obstruction of city lights couldn't compare to the subtle sensation of Sakito's eyelashes fluttering against his face as his lover bumped their cheeks together affectionately.
#09 - Sunrise
The sunrise itself was nothing out of the ordinary, but the circumstances in which Sakito watched it from Niya's window were.
#10 - Daylight
At the end of the day, the only thing keeping Niya's tired feet moving through the last rays of sun on the sidewalk was the precious though of Sakito's long limbs stretched out on the sheets, waiting for him.
#11 - Stroll
Before he realized where his feet were taking him that autumn day, Sakito had strolled all the way to Niya's apartment, and he found himself hesitating shyly in front of the door.
#12 - Food
"Just some food for thought," Sakito explained coyly, walking away leaving Niya behind, dazed and more aroused than he had ever been.
#13 - Rain
He was wet from head to toe, soggy and plastered with thin clothing and brown hair, but Niya's smile and his beckoning gesture was enough to warm the sodden guitarist even before he stepped through the door.
#14 - Emotions
The kiss was a complete emotional high, terrifyingly perfect for Niya and Sakito alike.
#15 - Dance
The candle light danced and swirled across his perfect features as it flickered in the breeze, and Niya needed to catch his breath staring across the table at the sultry shadows playing in Sakito's eyes.
#16 - Lost
"Excuse me, I think I'm lost..." Sakito trailed off in his request to the bleach-blond man on the street when their eyes met, recognition and an old flame flickering in both sets of dark irises.
#17 - Letter
Dear Niya, I've always wanted to say that I love you, but I can never get the words to come out right, he read, and read over again that first line.
#18 - Colors
In the sunlight, Sakito's hair was not one even color, but many; Niya would be entertained for hours watching the smooth strands slip through his fingers on a sunny day.
#19 - Soul
Heart and soul Niya was desperately in love with Sakito, friend and bandmate, but feared to ruin what they had by confessing to him.
#20 - Binds
Tape rebound the scraps of paper covered in Niya's writing, patched together with guilt and love after Sakito had torn up the letter in anger.
#21 - Links
Sakito toyed with the chain links on his bracelet, suddenly loosing nerve to admit his thoughts to Niya's expectant face.
#22 - Music
Music was a common interest between the two, but Niya was sure that wasn't the only thing drawing him to the gangly, long-haired youth after the show.
#23 - Drinks
"No, Niya, I won't have drinks with you again," Sakito answered, but quickly added to quell the disappointment on the other's face, "but a movie would be alright."
#24 - Hot
"No, Niyaaaa," Sakito whined and pushed the sweaty arms off his shoulders in exasperation, "it's too hot for that...."
#25 - Cold
When the slender fingers pale with cold slipped discreetly into his hand, Niya couldn't help but give them a comforting squeeze, though he feared looking back at Sakito might throw his determination to not touch him until they were safely out of the scrutinizing public eye.
#26 - Conversation
Conversation had never been Niya's strong point, and Sakito tended to be quiet unless spoken to - together they had nothing to talk about, but the sex was always mind-blowing.
#27 - Blanket
Under the covers on rainy days was Sakito's favorite place to be, only made better by the addition of his mismatched family - a flop-eared black rabbit and a yawning bassist.
#28 - Jewelry
With the elegant Sakito on his arm, Niya felt more dressed up and confident up in his old jeans than he ever did in Armani jackets and expensive jewelry.
#29 - Pride
Originally, Niya's refusal to talk to Sakito after their fight had been out of hurt feelings, but after two weeks it was now merely a matter of pride.
#30 - Lace
The black lace brushed across Sakito's smooth belly as it settled in place, completely unawares of his silent audience smoking in the corner while he examined himself from different angles to assure perfection.
#31 - Curious
Curiosity, apparently, did not kill the cat Niya discovered - Sakito's delicious lips did.
#32 - Windy
The breeze in the park was perfect for kite flying, something neither Sakito nor Niya had done since they were small, and thus made an ideal first date.
#33 - Parents
"Aren't you going to say anything?" Niya finally snapped, quailing and trapped by his father's disapproving silence, Sakito's little fingers stoically tightening on his.
#34 - Duty
The duty of checking unusual sounds in the night had always fallen to Niya, and this time he had to stifle surprised mirth when the noise turned out to be Sakito calling off the couch after he had accidentally fallen asleep there hours ago instead of coming to bed.
#35 - Crying
Niya must have noticed the unusual dampness clinging to Sakito's eyelashes after the show, because he folded the guitarist into a tight hug when they had a brief moment alone in the dressing room.
#36 - Share
Niya did not like to share, but there wasn't much he could do to redirect Sakito's affection once he'd brought that damn rabbit out of its cage for the evening.
#37 - Keep
I have your bunny, and I'm keeping it until you let me back into bed, the note on the table read, confusing Sakito over whether to be amused or more annoyed.
#38 - Close
"Is it okay...if I touch you?" Niya asked, inching forward, to which Sakito answered a breathy yes.
#39 - Simplicity
The simple elegance of the white rosebuds suited Sakito so well that it gave Niya the idea to cover his bed with their petals next time Sakito came over.
#40 - Grave
The grave set of Sakito's lips began to crack, collapsing into giggles and snorts; Niya should have known the whole break-up conversation had been a tasteless April Fool's joke from his playful lover.
#41 - Tomorrow
Tomorrow, Sakito thought resolutely as he stared through blurry eyes at Niya's picture for the hundredth time that day, tomorrow I'll forget him.
#42 - Run
Every day, Sakito's evening run took him past Niya's apartment, and every day he was a little bit closer to stopping for the open coffee invitation the bassist had extended.
#43 - Flying
Being in love with Niya was like flying, the euphoric drop of Sakito's heart every other beat while he wheeled head over heels in the hazy clouds.
#44 - Whisper
A mere whisper of a though, a niggling suspicion of unformed ideas bothered Niya every time Sakito greeted him in innocent friendship.
#45 - Window
Despite the cloak of darkness, it was clear Sakito knew Niya was watching him undress, the tree leaves whispering his presence through the open window.
#46 - Apologies
"I'm sorry," they said simultaneously, and both paused and laughed, Sakito leaning forward eagerly into Niya's much-missed arms.
#47 - Bugs
Luckily, the droning cicadas masked the sound of Sakito's flustered gasp when he felt Niya's hand somewhere most inappropriate for festival behavior.
#48 - Sleep
All Sakito wanted was to get some sleep, to forget about Niya, and to move on, but insomnia seemed to be catching him in its cruel claws for the third night running.
#49 - End
By the end of the movie, Sakito's hand found Niya's, nervously, prolonging the happy finish until the lights came on.
#50 - Doors
Doors were particularly difficult when drunk, especially when also being ravished against the wrong side of one, but Sakito wasn't bothering to fend off Niya's eager hands in order to get inside.
