C's mum was told she was 'clear' in September (she was required to have very regular checks every few months but scans, surgery etc at that stage found no cancer).

We had 2 really good months. ( read more here... )

I'm so sorry to hear that. My boyfriend's sister just had a check-in yesterday (had breast cancer a few years back) and hearing she's all good and clear was a huge relief though we all feared the worst. I can't even imagine what you're going through right now *hugs*

Hey - thanks for this.

I'm so glad you're boyfriend's sister got the all clear - that's such good news! I really do feel for every family and extended family connected to someone with cancer, it has such a wide impact on everyone. You all must have been so relieved and happy! That's great, because it makes me feel good knowing that there is still hope. People do get good results, so we have to be hopeful and keep moving ahead :)

We're all feeling a bit better now. She's got some options with her treatment re: her chemo cycles etc and that always feels better just getting those options. It always takes a while for the news to sink in and then once we get a plan in place we feel like Ok, there's a strategy - we know what we can all do now. It's a very human need to have a 'strategy' it makes us feel more in control even when we have none ::lol ( ... )

I'm coming late to say it, but I am so sorry. *hugs* That's hard news. I hope C' mum does eventually beat this thing, though.
