Greatest Canadian?

The CBC tv show has chosen Tommy Douglas as the Greatest Canadian. I'm not going to argue that; it's subjective, after all. I would have picked Lester Pearson; at least he made the list. The ones I take issue with are Don Cherry--what exactly has he done of any importance?--and Wayne Gretzky, who is a wanker, and if he really was a great Canadian--
