When I would leave Manhattan ... I would drive by the McD's before hitting the tunnel.
When I thought that was bad, I switched to getting an egg, cheese, and ham bagel for the drive.
When that felt too out of the way, I found the Taco Bell on Route 1 South, just off of the Lincoln Tunnel.

And that was just driving home!
