I couldn't watch The Other Boleyn Girl in front of my now-ex roomie (who's still my BFF) because she is a British history FIEND. Her mom is British so that probably spurs it. She was frustrated with the huge level of inaccuracies. Though the BFF knows even better British royalty scandals than the movie told. LOL
I wanted to watch it since the Boleyns are my ancestors.
I hate to admit that history is not my strong suit, but it does intrigue me much more now than it ever did in school.
I tend to expect most movies (unless they are deemed documentaries) to not be true to history, especially since this was based on a novel. That's one of the reasons I did research. I wanted to learn what was true versus just made up for a good story.
