Summary: Takki wants to know why his favorite kouhai (underclassmen/inferior) has been looking glum.

Notes: Takes place when they were still juniors, and I wrote this with "Love Actually" in mind. This is my first time posting a JE fic... *nervous* I'm no good at writing, I should just stick to dialogues.

"Go talk to him," Tsubasa urged Takki, wanting to kick the other boy for his constant complaining about how his beloved kouhai seemed depressed lately. If Tsubasa didn't know Takki so well, and sort of liked him for the most part, he probably would've abandoned Takki the moment the other boy started ranting about Yamapi.

"Come with me," Takki begged, tugging on the older boy's arm, giving him pleading look.

"But I don't even know him that well," Tsubasa said, trying to pull his arm back from the other boy's iron grip. "Let go, Takizawa."

"Please? Pretty, pretty please? With a cherry on top?"

"No. Just go yourself," Tsubasa repeated, shaking his arm to get the boy off to no avail. He glared at the younger boy, trying his best to look mean, but Takki had that look on his face and refused to let go. As his continued attempts to pry Takki's hands off failed miserably, Tsubasa finally gave in, "Fine! Geez, you big baby."

"I knew Mama cared about our little Yamapi!"

"Mama--?" Was all Tsubasa could make out before the rejoiced Takki dragged him off to find the depressed kouhai.

Tsubasa had no idea what he expected when they found Yamapi, but it definitely was not the kid decked out in a pink dress with several other juniors getting ready to tackle the boy. He couldn't help but chuckle at the boy's misfortune, but when Tsubasa noticed Yamapi laughing nervously looking as if he were ready to run he turned to his partner.

"Shouldn't you--" Only to notice that Takki was missing. "Takki?"

"NO! STOP!"

"Papa's little girl is so cute!"

"LET GO, YOU STUPID CREEPY BASTARD!"

Tsubasa wondered how he did not notice Takki sneak-glomp Yamapi. But then again, his friend had been pointing and laughing at Yamapi's plight only a moment ago. Also, this was Takki, and it really wasn't surprising seeing that slightly evil glint in his eyes as he held onto the younger boy more tightly.

"So cute! Super, super cute!"

"STOP IT! LET GO, YOU JERK! CREEPY OLD MAN!"

Tsubasa noted with some amusement that Yamapi looked like he was about to explode from embarrassment, if he hadn't already. And as much as it was funny, Tsubasa was slightly concerned that the cross-dressing junior was going to pass out from the blood rushing to his head.

"Hey, let the kid go," Tsubasa told Takki, half smirking and half serious.

Takki looked like he wanted to protest but didn't and reluctantly released the petulant junior, ruffling his hair affectionately. Turning to the others surrounding them Takki grinned widely, "Does anyone else want to be in a dress?"

The boys didn't have to think twice before scattering, leaving Takki, Tsubasa, and Yamapi alone. Takki immediately turned on Yamapi, bluntly asking, "All right Brat, what's wrong?"

"I'm in a damn dress is what's wrong," Yamapi hissed, tugging at the zipper in the back only to have it get caught on something. "Damn it! Help me, won't you?"

"Now, now, Papa knows that's not the case," Takki waved off the last comment and turned to Yamapi. "You've been depressed lately, haven't you?"

"Tsubasa-sen'pai," Yamapi pleaded with the eldest male present, sending him a kicked puppy look.

Tsubasa shrugged looking slightly apologetic, but really, he had no intention to help. This situation was just a little too funny to end it so quickly by getting the boy out of that dress.

"Now start talking," Takki continued, waving a fist in Yamapi's face, giving him a glare. "Or I'll beat you."

"You can't do that! Isn't there a law against that?" Yamapi shouted, eyes darting around frantically for an escape route. "Child abuse or something?"

"Only in the United States, Pi-chan," Takki smirked, having trapped the boy in a corner with nowhere to go. "Now, care to tell Papa what's been putting his daughter down in the dumps lately?"

There was no escape. Takki knew this, Tsubasa knew this, Yamapi... tried to duck under Takki and run. Unfortunately, Tsubasa coincidentally had his leg out, and Yamapi happened to trip and fall to a pained and pouting ball on the floor.

So Yamapi gave up and sat cross legged and very unfeminine-like.

"You really want to know?"

"Of course," Takki answered, nodding seriously. He took a seat on the floor facing his kouhai.

"Really?"

"Yeah," Takki replied, leaning forward.

Yamapi stared warily at Takki, "You're going to laugh."

"I promise I won't laugh," Takki swore, holding his hand up to pledge it.

Yamapi sighed, staring at his hands, silent, biting at his lip. "Well... the truth is..."

"Yes?" Takki urged for the boy the continue, leaning closer to catch every word.

"The truth is, I'm in love."

And then there was laughing. Not even laughing, but deep, loud guffaws, and Takki rolling on the floor, pounding at it with his fist. He was trying so hard to at least get the tears to stop.

Tsubasa on the other hand couldn't help the disbelief he felt for both Takki and Yamapi. He kicked at Takki's side to get him to shut up for a moment, but it didn't really work. "Hey, shut up."

"But it's too funny," Takki hollered laughing between words.

Yamapi had a right to be annoyed.

"I knew you'd laugh."

Tsubasa rolled his eyes before fixing Yamapi a slightly befuddled stare. Unsure and slightly patronizing, he asked, "Aren't you a little young to be in love?"

"No," Yamapi immediately answered.

"You're 14."

"Love knows no boundaries."

Tsubasa stared at the boy and then sighed. He glared momentarily at Takki's still shaking form before turning back to Yamapi.

"Then that's good, isn't it? That you're in love?"

"That guy doesn't see me like that though," Yamapi sighed.

And Tsubasa raised an eyebrow, eyeing Yamapi. Personally, Tsubasa didn't know how do deal with this because the kid pretty much just came out of the figurative closet in front of him, and he also wasn't gay so he didn't know what to do. Damn it, it was probably Takki's fault that the kid turned out like this.

"I see," Tsubasa muttered, even though he really didn't. He personally had never been in love before, and he was only older than the kid by three years. "Well, that is a bit of a problem then."

"And I see him all the time so it just really sucks because I sometimes just want to kiss him and stuff," Yamapi continued, smoothing out the folds of the pink dress which in Tsubasa's opinion really didn't help the matter. "And it's so hard keeping this a secret because I see other people with him and touching him and I want them to back off."

This really wasn't a conversation that Tsubasa wanted to have. Luckily, he was saved from having to answer when the boy next to him finally recovered from his fit. Of course, he did not prepare for what his younger partner said to their kouhai.

Takki clapped both hands on Yamapi's shoulder and looked him in the eye, not blinking in order to convey his advice better. "Be a man and confess."

Tsubasa gaped at Takki.

"Okay," Yamapi agreed, and ran off, probably to follow the elder boy's command to confess.

Tsubasa wondered if the kid knew he was still wearing a dress.

"This is all your fault," Tsubasa stated, glaring at Takki.

"Why? I gave him good advice."

"First of all, the person he likes is a boy. In case you haven't realized, most guys in this world don't like each other in a romantic sense. Second, it's your fault that he's gay. Third, you just told him to confess to lord knows who, but clearly it's a boy, obviously someone in the company, and guess how fast rumors spread around this place."

It took Takki a good moment before he swore rather colorfully and ran off in the direction Yamapi had gone hoping that he hadn't destroyed the boy's reputation let alone career.
