Yesterday I said a final goodbye to my baby girl. It had been a while coming and she was getting extremely weak and thin over the past couple of months. She finally breathed her last yesterday afternoon as my parents stroked her to a long and restful sleep

Hi, I found your post while journal surfing and just wanted to say that I'm sorry for the loss of your baby. She's bueatiful.

I, too, lost a baby last week and am also grieving.

It's good to know other people miss their cats as much as I do.

I've been wondering why it's so hard. I suppose I treated Pepper like a child and a companion. She was a real emotional crutch and blessing but she didn't even know it.

I read about your Felix and am terribly sorry. That's pretty heartbreaking and untimely. Big hug.

Not really. 17 years is a long time and it's a hard habit to break. I grew up with this cat.
