I love my Spectral boys. The brothers, Simon and Des Hussey, Blake Drezet, and the new boy in the gang, Mike Cope, who I actually worked with on the ShowCase Festival, a few years back. Obviously what they need to do is stage a feminist interpretation of "Carol" with all women. (Including one named Carol.)

It's been done.

It's been done with a woman.
It's been done with a black cast.
It's been done in modern dress.
It's been done as a musical.
It's been done as a horror.
It's been done as a kids play.
It's been done in space.

That's the problem with it; it's been done to death, in every possible configuration, 18 million times.

It's exactly the sort of show that the Arts Club or the Playhouse should do, absolutely straight, for all their little gray-haired seasons ticket holders. It's _not_ something a small company on the edge should be bothering with.
