Hey Nori, this is that ben guy who posted about musicians needed for recording for my individual contract. how's it goin? you said you played upright bass, right? do you play any improvisation or non-improv jazz? just a question. thanks

I play both old-school jazz (think count basie/ duke ellington) and a bit of improv. It's not my strong point, but I can usually manage. As long as you aren't writing a Mingus tune or something. ^.^

swell! My first project is going to be trying to recreate an old jazz recording by using old recording techniques and master and whatnot. BUT i need to figure out how to write a jazz piece first. So, would you be available for an afternoon/evening next week to practice/be recorded? Do you have an upright bass of your own? thanks.
