There seems to be fairly frequent discussion among critics of atheism on whether it's actually a religion or not. I followed you up to the "Christian atheist" part.
Would another way of framing it be, "An atheist who finds Christian symbols meaningful on a personal level?"
I believe there are "Christian spiritualists" or "Christian univeralists" or some term like that, where they combine some tenets of Christianity with a less strict world view than mainstream Christianity here?
