Did you get your precious... photos?
I've had the pictures from my trip to the west coast up for a little while now, but I've actually managed to organize them a little bit!
We drove as far as Vancouver by Friday night and stayed in a hotel. The next morning we caught the Horseshoe Bay ferry to Nanaimo.
We stayed with my cousins in Nanaimo, and had a lovely walk in Neck Point Park not too far from their home.
On our way to Port Alberni Sunday, we stopped at the Cathedral Grove and walked around the trails for about an hour.
The boat picked us up in Port Alberni around 6:00 pm. The ride was just over two hours to the Rendezvous resort, so it was dark by the time we got there. I didn't get a chance to really see the place until the next day.
Most days we did two dives at different sites, though we got in a couple of extra dives off the dock right in front of the resort. I took quite a few pictures--I'm really happy with how the underwater camera enclosure worked out!
