Robots + LEGO = Awesome

I went to the robotics workshop yesterday. That, in and of itself, was really cool. However, this wasn't just a fun little lecture. The whole point of these workshops is to find ways to engage students with the subject. How do you get small children to work with real robots? LEGO Mindworks ( Read more... )

I loved that cemetary XD
I wish we had had a guide o-o what were some of the ghost stories if you remember them?

And dammit I didn't know Emily Carr was there :X musta missed it -_-!

I believe (but you'll have to check with Gran) that Ross Bay is the cemetary where a number of the Barner side are buried - I'm pretty sure that's where we saw them. Penny could tell you where too. Neat that you had a poltergeist experience there - perhaps it was a great grandparent checking up on you.

Your mother is correct! We have many Barners buried there, including great, great grandmother and lots of issue. (That sounds terrible, doesn't it? Like tissue. Euch!)

Did you see Amor de Cosmos? He's there. As are many other BC luminaries. Our school does cemetary studies every few years and I once went with Em so I know all the famous graves.

It was fun (and hard) finding the Barners! I'd love to show you sometime.

In the paper this morning was a picture from the NanoTech competition in Vancouver where elementary school students program lego robots for the competition tasks.
