Always read all the instructions

Today was my last day in my practicum class before Christmas, and we finished off with a bang.

My students are terrible at following instructions.  You have to repeat what you want over and over.  If you write something on the board, they'll ignore it, or read only half of it.  Often, you'll get exactly the opposite of what you just asked for nine ( Read more... )

I'm very glad you had a good time creating the quiz and a fun time giving it. It always catches the real keeners who can't wait to finish first.

I fell for that one when Mr. Young pulled that on us in Chem 11. I got about halfway through before I figured it out. Though I'm pretty sure it just had, "read every question carefully before you answer it," which is slightly ambiguous, so I didn't feel too bad. I have to admit it was a pretty good idea.

My dad told me about these years before Mr. Young pulled that on us, so I recognized it right away, so I can never be said to have fallen for it. It's one of the funniest things you can ever watch.
