If people have the desire to re-create NM, from my experience the biggest problem that I saw was people were trying to do too much, too quickly and the development those projects just became overwhelming.

NM as we last knew it was a work-in-progress over the span of many years, it is just impossible to re-create that in a relatively short period of time before the game is ready for play.

What should be done is the game be developed in stages with the entire focus being on just working within a defined development range. Ie, if you were to fire up an older DS version and just focus on creating a level 1 - 10 experience and significantly slow down the level rate you could just focus on developing low level skill, abilities and spells, create the low level towns and low level training areas.

You could then be up and running in a relatively short period of time with a workable game within that level range. Once you got there then add in 11-25, etc.

It wasn't that long ago I posted, last month. :P

It is funny the memories we have from there, I don't think anyone meant anything personal, was just part of the game to goad people into fighting but some were very competitive.

Was a fun time filled with some crazy memories, also with some sadness as some of the people from back then are no longer with us any longer.

I lost all the classes lists I had and have gone through some personal problems. I am looking forward to restarting my project for making this an MMOrpg. The game engine I am using now uses server clustering similar to WoW. If I could get a complete list of classes with skills it would be helpful.

We wish to thank you once again for the beautiful ideas you ofreefd Janet when preparing her post-graduate research and also, most importantly, regarding providing many of the ideas in a single blog post. Provided that we had known of your web-site a year ago, we would have been kept from the nonessential measures we were choosing. Thank you very much.
