Finally, after several difficult weeks, I am on the mend. What a blessing!

jessofthebugs iris photo intrigues me, as iris (the flower) is one area of substantial experience for me. I am trying to identify the variety--it dates from quite a few decades ago--probably nearly a century or a bit less ago. There are a number of very similar "amoena" pattern

Would you like some bulbs? I would be most happy to get some for you next time I visit my mom. They are very very hardy and divide like crazy.

It is beautiful, isn't it? I absolutely love Bearded Iris...Iris of any kind really. I would have to say that they are my favorites. A little something I inherited from my paternal grandmother I dare say. She had every kind of Bearded Iris imaginable growing in her back yard when I was a child. When she passed over, I asked my Aunt and Father if it would be ok for me to go and dig as many of the iris as I could. They said: "Of course.".....but I was so saddened when I arrived at my grandmother's home......ALL the iris were gone. There wasn't a single flower or blade leaf to be found anywhere. Broke my heart. She had iris that had been her great-grandmother's. *sigh* Such a loss I think.

Now that other Iris is absolutely adorable! What a cutiepie!
