I was just thinking this very same thing the other day: am I as independent as I claim to be or am I really looking for a prince to come, sweep me off my feet and slay a dragon for me? Do I really want to be saved? Or do I want to do the saving?

To add an additional two cents, what I think it comes down to is that we crave intimacy and love. We just want someone to see us for who we are, beyond the big mouths and silly demeanors. And we refuse to just settle for anyone, so that may make the search even more frustrating. Keep your head up, hon. If anything, know that I will always love you!
