Well, the way I see it, you can get the T&D master's at northern and be able to get any job you want (corporate or not) that requires a master's or lower, or you could go to NIU away from your friends up here and get a degree with less to it than the master's up here gives.

As much as I'd like to see you up here in the Fall, something to consider, and I'm sure this has been brought to your attention before: getting your MA at the same place you got your BA looks really unprofessional. You will come off as someone who wants to take those easy roads in life.
As cool as it was to have met you when I did, and for the few years we've known each other, I think you might be on to something. As much as it sucks, it might be time to move on. But hey, that's what we did after high school, wasn't it?
HI!!!! You know how much I want to say that you should come back to northern. We had such a great semester. I know for a fact that you would not be happy with a deskie job or anything like that. You had talked before about going to school back home, and I think that if that's really what you want to do then you should do it and not let anyone influence you into doing something else. The same goes for if you don't want to do that. As much as I want to be your roomie for one more year, if you think it would be best for you to stay home then you do that. As long as you come and visit at least once :) I will still always be here for you no matter what. Feel free to call or text me at any time too. I'm always around in some way. Hope everything is going good with you. :)
Good for you Stace. As much as I would like to see you back in the fall time, go with what your gut tells you. As selfish as it may sound, "think of yourself first, everything else will fall into place." Besides, we are only an internet away.
I'll have to agree on possibly getting a Master's elsewhere. I've been contemplating to get one in Teaching or Media. My bachelor's seems as valuable as toiler paper or a paper towel. I'm looking at National Louis if I go for teaching and in the area. If I continue in Media, I'm highly considering applying for a program that would pay my tuition, give me a stipend, and all. I'd have to teach classes, advise a program, and maintain a certain grade level. Both seem really appealing, but I think moving away from Marquette may be a good idea especially agreeing on getting a Master's from where you got your Bachelor's doesn't look as favorable as somewhere else.
