Placing artwork/home decor

OK opinions please... if you have some great artwork to display but are fighting an air vent, would you go over the air vent (wouldn't really block it and would cover completely, but could still see the vent) and be off center of the wall or ignore the vent and center on the wall?

You could also get some spacers and put them around the vent.
