I am a terrible student. My organization sucks, I procrastinate to the extreme and consistently dig myself (and my grades) a hole.

grades are teh lose )

I'm going to guess that's being independant thinkers tend to get worse grades, while the followers study hard.

I kind of disagree. Not all independant thinkers get bad grades and not all "followers" get good ones. It depends on the learning style, the curriculum, and the teacher. I got bad grades from 4th-9th grade. I switched to a private school and got a 4.0. I went to college.. I got a 3.85. Granted.. then I stopped going to classes and dropped out. None the less, though.. it's not the kind of thinker you are that makes you get bad grades, it's the fact that SCHOOL CURRICULUMS SUCK AND SHOULD DIE AND IT'S EVERYONE ELSE'S FAULT NOT YOURS. kthx :)

MattlesMattles, I'll call you when I touch down in SF tomorrow. We'll plannypoo shite.

I said tend to and I was only talking about situations where this would occur.

Also, it is your fault. Everyone could get good grades if they went to a cushy ass private school with one-on-one teachers. It's a motivational thing on the part of the student if they want to do well in public school. High school sucked, yeah, but it was by no means difficult.

Woah. What's up with the personal attacks? You must be pretty fucking stupid if you think that everyone can succeed in public school. Perhaps that's why you're not getting good grades?
