While the majority of Katie's job kept her running around from meeting to meeting, ensuring the right endorsements and contracts and financial acquisitions, she did manage to find herself in the Department of Magical Games and Sports on a fairly regular basis. Whether it be negotiations with higher officials within the department or using her connections within the league to get business going, she had her frequent favorites to visit

Noah let out a short burst of laughter, unadulterated and loud enough to make Gertrude, his curmudgeony cubicle neighbor, scowl over at him from behind the stack of folders she, he was sure, kept on her desk simply to block out his happiness.
One day, he'd get her to laugh at one of his jokes. One day. He hadn't given up hope yet.
"I like the way you think," he nodded approvingly. With a wave of his wand, he had his final note folded up into one of the conspicuous Ministry planes and sent it flying off with the rest of the end-of-day fleet that was making its way towards the elevators for interdepartmental distribution.
He opened the bottom drawer of his desk, haphazardly swept the rest of the random charts and notes scattered on his desk down into it, then popped out of his seat and around to Katie's side.

-Well, nevermind that-
"Oh- oh!" Noah started at her mention of that one quite particular and unmistakable bartender, pulling himself out of his momentary reverie, freezing midstep step towards the elevator and catching her arm, as if he'd suddenly remember the most crucial piece of news. Which he had.
"I can't believe I didn't tell you! Okay, so, I was by there last week- some work thing, Howard's birthday, a whole bunch of us from the department made a half-day of it, couldn't tell you how it ended, y'know how Games and Sports folks get- anyway, so Howard was about six pints in
