  • I've played real poker twice now.  Didn't come out ahead, but I played for a heck of a long time on not much dough.  I'm pretty proud of that.

  • The bathroom did indeed get finished, and looks great.  AND I did indeed break 2 tiles, so I ended up with just 1 extra.  How freakin' cool is that?

  • My uncle had a good time when he was here (I think), and I'm ( Read more... )

Poker as in that Texas Hold 'em? You should play with T. He can play that for ages and ages and ages, although lately he hasn't done so since he's been in rehearsals.

And you've gotta take pictures of all you've done and post them! It sounds so amazing. It's weird, but all the homeowners that I personally know who are in my age bracket have all revamped their homes completely. My parents generation always seem to take the homes as it is and just like, paint it or something, until the kids grow up then they tear it apart.

The eyelash conditioner stuff sounds like what Coree's wedding makeup lady wanted me to use. She had a special eye lid lotion, which she said I needed. And then she said I needed to condition my lashes as they were dry and would explain why they would fall out.

Miss you too! Maybe we can pan for gold in late July or August? I'm overwhelmed at UCSC right now until mid-July with housing assignments.

Best to your mom!

Yup, Texas Hold 'em. I might be doing a tourney in Reno in a couple of weeks, if I can rearrange my schedule (and save up the entry fees). But I've only done tournament stuff online, and only done limit pots in person. It'll be a different experience, for sure.

We never owned our home before, and there's not a call for improving someone else's property. I think with our generation, it's become more about making the most on your investment; upgrade what you have so it sells higher than it would otherwise. Too bad the flipping market's tanked.

We can go late in July or August (birthday adventure?), just let me know a date a few weeks prior.
