Not all cholesterol problems are caused by what we eat, however. It can also be heriditary, as it is for my mother (and myself I'm sure, if I bothered to care). That being said, I've yet to run across a drug company that wasn't evil. And we work with them all. (specialty drug companies are especially wonderful)
You might be relatively healthy now......but shit sneaks up on you. Did you know a pelvic ultrasound costs $1200? And even WITH insurance, I had to pay $450? An MRI would run me $900. WTF.
Better that you have catastrophic insurance than none at all, though.
