[See Marco. See Marco striding purposefully in the direction of the village. Stride, Marco, stride! Unfortunately, it's going to be a while longer before he makes it out of the forest, and he's too annoyed at both his powers being restricted and at finding himself.... wherever he is... to check out that weird journal thing he's carrying. He's ( Read more... )

[ Stride that stride Marco, you teach that ground who's boss. Robin is approaching from the opposite direction, heading towards the forest with a cage in her hands. Her regular hands that is. So spotting said Marco before leaving the village, she decides to state the obvious as a means of greeting. ]

A new arrival?

[Now you he recognises. It's hard not to, when it's a face that's been plastered over bounty posters for so long, Demon of Ohara. He's not going to ask about the cage.]

Guess I am. Mind telling me where this is?

[ She recognizes you as well, sir. At least, the mark on that chest of yours if nothing else. She won't say anything about it though. She simply smiles. ]

You have the dubious honor of being chosen as an experiment in our delightfully gilded cage of Luceti, I'm afraid. [ Sarcasm, she has it in spades. ] Dreadful people, the Malnosso, have claimed quite a number of individuals and brought them to this place as well.

[He's taking all this in with a blank face and crossed arms while the information is taken in, and at the end he really doesn't like the conclusion.]

And I take it anything people have tried against them has fallen through, eh?

[If there's been any escapees, Marco's damn sure he's going to be one of them, powers on the fritz or not.]

[A civilian? He's not dressed like a Marine or most pirates, so it's a safe bet, and Marco's more than a little glad for this. It's been a shitty day so far, after all.]

Oi. Where is this?

[... THAT could be useful.]

That'd be helpful, thanks.

[See? He can be polite.]

[Wait, is that...? Teach tries to remain calm - maybe he's from before he betrayed the Whitebeard Pirates, arrested Ace, etc.? He gives Marco a big friendly wave.]

Oi! Commander Marco! So you're here too! How's it goin'?

[Coming back to the forest the next day was not particularly useful, but at least it was familiar, and Marco didn't plan to stay there long. He's leaning back against a tree, a little slouched and eyes somewhat downcast, enjoying the relative silence and trying to work out his situation, when he hears a too-familiar voice. Which is why he's freezing slightly, looking up and yes, his insides have just turned to ice.]

Teach.

[Here, have some haki as he straightens up, body tensing to rip your head off.]

[That doesn't sound promising. Well, no point in keeping up the "oblivious" act any longer.]

So, how'd ya like my show? Aside from one detail that I ain't quite sure of yet, it went off without a hitch!

[As to be expected by someone who has the "Will of D", the haki doesn't appear to have any effect on Teach in terms of weakening him or knocking him down.]

Ya sure are pissed, Commander Marco! That surprises me! Ya usually were the laid-back type, weren't ya? [He intentionally threw the "commander" title in there this time, just to see what sort of a reaction he would get.]

[Marco's clenching his fists now, because he's very aware that a) Blackbeard's killed one Commander and beaten a second, b) has at least one DF and potentially two, c) his own powers are limited and he's lacking seastone and d) he still really wants to tear Teach's lungs out and force-feed them to him. But that's probably not a good idea until he finds out what's going on. Dammit. He ignores the first words, though the 'one detail' gives him a small hope.]

I am laid-back. But not when I'm standing in front of back-stabbing traitors who got Ace and Pops killed.

[Not to mention Oars and whoever else died of course, but Marco hadn't had much time before he woke up here. For now he takes a step forward before forcing himself to stop, trying to judge if he can take him.]

When the fuck did you get here, Teach?

[Whoo, swearing. You got him riled, boy. :|]
