Great "User-Made" Chevy Tahoe ads

Thanks to Jason for this one.

For those of you who don't see these before GM takes them offline, they were basically little user-edited sequences featuring verbiage like, "This SUV gets 15 miles per gallon ... Global warming is happening now; what will you tell your kids you drove?"

Good stuff. Makes me smile. :)

ROTFLMAO!!! I am posting this too. I confess, I own a trailblazer ((but where I live in Upstate NY, you kind of need something like that) - if I can get a hybrid or something better (I'm eyeing an old used Volvo :^), believe me I will.

See, if there is a legitimate need for a large vehicle that gets, shall we say less than optimal gas mileage, then I think it's OK.

Because if everyone followed that rule, there'd be about 80% fewer pickup trucks and SUVs on the road ... let's face it, most people buy them because they are cool to drive. And I'm not disputing that! They ARE fun to drive, and it's great to feel like you're rolling around in a friggin' tank - it's just that you shouldn't drive one if you don't have to!

yeah. i saw totally different ones posted on like five different blogs last week. kind of interesting as to how long it's taken gm to notice and taken 'em down. i somehow doubt this would have ever happened to a japanese auto manufacturer ;)
