I have to go to hospital on Monday for a colonoscopy. Apparently I will be sedated before they insert the camera, and I will have to take vile stuff the previous day to make sure there are no impediments to its access. I have been told that I need to be close to the loo at all times and, in the 24 hours before the procedure I can only drink clear

I don't think you're whining for nothing, that is horrid and worrying. I hope they find something which is easily treatable, and if it is more serious that you get all the support in the world to get through it to the other side.

I've had that procedure and, really, it isn't much. The nasty part is the day before, when you are cleaning our your insides until they shine (it's horribly, sickly sweet and you will run like a tap), but the procedure itself is completely simple thanks to the wonderful drugs they give you. *lol*

Having had similar problems, I do hope they can diagnose it for you. I will be thinking of you!
